
Today, the University Council Chairman, Dr Karema, hosted Rev. Canon Tinka Philemon and his wife, parents of the Vice Chancellor, Dr Andrew Ainomugisha, on a visit to Ankole Western University. They were taken through the University to witness its progress and achievements.
Dr Karema praised the Vice Chancellor’s leadership, under which student enrolment has grown from 400 in 2023 to 5,000 by January 2026, alongside improvements in systems, infrastructure, and student services.
Rev. Canon Tinka, a respected educationist in the Ankole Diocese, thanked the University Council for the opportunity given to his son and offered prayers for his continued faithful service.
