Freshers at Ankole Western University today attended their 4th session of the orientation programme, addressed by Ms. Peace Busingye, an educationist, life coach, and Principal Education Officer in the Department of Guidance and Counseling at the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Ms. Busingye encouraged students to embrace consistency, discipline, and patience as key ingredients for academic and personal success. She emphasized that success is built through persistent effort and the commitment to making progress, even through small daily actions.

She also urged the students to live within their means, appreciate and understand their backgrounds, and maintain strong relationships with their parents and guardians. She encouraged them to seek mentors who can guide them, challenge them, and support their growth in both their personal and professional lives.

Addressing relationships, Ms. Busingye advised students to exercise patience and avoid rushing into relationships, noting that meaningful connections require time and maturity.

She further emphasized the importance of financial discipline, encouraging students to budget wisely, prioritize their needs and develop a saving culture.

Her message challenged the freshers to approach university life with purpose, responsibility and a willingness to learn not only in the classroom but also from the people and experiences around them.
