Mr. Wilson Mugisha Nsingwire. Throughout his career, he has mentored countless professionals in the field of education and has made significant contributions to teacher training through his extensive experience.
Mr. Muhanguzi Robert, the Academic Registrar, described Wilson Mugisha as a charming and joyful individual who brought warmth not just to his classrooms but also to the entire student body.
Mr. Mugisha Nsingwire has held various senior positions at institutions such as Bishop Stuart University, Uganda Christian University-Mukono, Kyambogo University, and National Teachers College-Kabale. He has retired as the Dean of the Faculty of Education at AWU. His efforts at AWU have been instrumental in attracting and retaining experienced staff in the Faculty of Education, enhancing both teaching and learning for the students.
In his heartfelt messages, Mr. Wilson N. Nsingwire encouraged everyone to remain humble through both good and bad times. He urged members to stay connected with one another and with God, emphasizing the importance of fellowship.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Andrew Ainomugisha expressed deep appreciation for Mr. Mugisha, noting the warmth he extended to everyone who approached him within and beyond the university. He acknowledged Mr. Nsingwire’s dedication and hard work, reminding the faculty that his success was a result of these qualities. He encouraged them to follow in Wilson’s footsteps by putting in the same level of commitment and effort.
Mr. Wilson Nsingwire leaves behind a remarkable legacy as a humble and experienced educator. He was not only a source of knowledge but also a nurturing mentor to many. The university community is grateful for his selflessness in supporting faculty, students, and staff alike.
In recognition of his invaluable contributions, the University Management has decided to retain Mr. Wilson Mugisha Nsingwire in an advisory role to assist with school practice and professional courses for teachers. The university continues to pray for Mugisha’s good health in his retirement from active roles at the Faculty of Education.
