February 20, 2026February 20, 2026 Osbert AtwineUncategorized

Today, the Vice Chancellor, Andrew Ainomugisha, had the honour of welcoming the first Coordinator of the AWU Project, Eliasaph Katuramu, back to the University.

Rev. Can. Canon Katuramu ably oversaw the transition from Ankole Western Institute of Science and Technology to Ankole Western University, laying a strong and lasting foundation for the institution’s growth. His visit was deeply significant, reflecting the rich history and dedicated leadership that have shaped the University.

During his time on campus, he was taken on a tour of the ongoing infrastructural developments. The Vice Chancellor expressed sincere appreciation for his invaluable contribution to the successful establishment of the University.

We pray that God grants him continued good health and strength as the fruits of his faithful service continue to flourish.
