Dr. Bernard Nuwatuhaire, the Director of the Postgraduate and Research Directorate at Ankole Western University, recently participated in a situational analysis meeting focused on the effectiveness of technology transfer systems in Uganda. The meeting was spearheaded by the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST), an organization committed to advancing indigenous science and technology through technology transfer and adoption.

This engagement presents a valuable opportunity for AWU to tap into national technology transfer frameworks that are intended to make Uganda a technology-led Country, enhancing its research capabilities and boosting innovation. By aligning with UNCST’s efforts, the university will strengthen its role in promoting science and technology and innovation in the area of Agriculture and ICT.
