Sheema Corporate Football Tournament was organized by Ankole Western University Fraternity. The tournament was meant to promote the spirit of togetherness among the people of Sheema. The university realized that it is only through football game that the spirit in the question is orchestrated. Notwithstanding, the objectification of the tournament was a means to give back to the community of Sheema as well as promoting sports in the area. It was therefore to that effect that Sheema Football Cooperate Tournament was dated 25th September, 2022 where a total of 15 organizations participated in the event.

The event started at 8:00am with registration of the teams of various agencies and screening of their players therein. This was followed by warm ups led by the Western Got Talent Crew. Games kicked off at 9:30am and at around 5:00pm, teams that qualified for semi-finals started their games. These were EBO SACCO, BMC Hospital, Bushenyi Corporates Club (BCC) and Voice of Sheema (VoS). The games ended at 6:30pm with finals between EBO SACCO and Bushenyi Medical Centre (BMC). EBO Financial Services emerged as the winner of this first of its kind tournament in Sheema.
The event was wrapped up with remarks from the Chief Event Organizer; Mr. Atwiine Simon Alex; a Sports Tutor at Ankole Western University and the Vice Chancellor Ankole Western University; Dr. Musinguzi Benon who was the Chief Guest of the occasion.
Dr. Musinguzi Benon was grateful for the participants and spectators and thanked them for coming. He further commended them for their time accorded and plead them to always be responsive as the University looks forward to organizing more tournaments; a means to promote sports in the region.
The Vice Chancellor gave out certificates of participation to the participants. Additionally, second runners of the tournament were given medals and finally the trophy together with a goat worth UGX. 200,000= were awarded to the winning team (EBO Financial Services).
